Aloo ka Paratha
Time of preparation: 40 Minutes
Time of cooking: 20 Minutes (Serves 6)
All-purpose Flour | 1 cup |
Whole Wheat Flour | 2 cups |
Water | For kneading |
Oil | 1 table spoon |
1. Sieve together flour and knead with water. |
2. Add the oil at the end and knead a little more to make the dough soft. |
Potatoes (boiled & mashed) | 4 medium |
Cumin Seeds | ½ tea spoon |
Àjwain (Carom seeds) | A pinch or two |
Chat masala | ¼ tea spoon |
Red chilli powder & Salt | To taste |
Ground Roasted Coriander & Cumin | ¼ tea spoon |
Onion (chopped) | 1 large |
Fresh Coriander (chopped) | ½ tea spoon |
Fresh Green Chilli (seeded & chopped) | ¼ tea spoon |
Oil | For frying |
3. Rub cumin seed with hands and mix all the ingredients together. |
4. Make pockets in the dough and fill equal amount of potato mixture. |
5. Roll the dough carefully and fry on a flat pan (Tava) while adding oil on each sides. |
6. Serve with your choice of achar or chutney. |
