Daal Paratha
Time of preparation: 40 Minutes
Time of cooking: 20 Minutes (Serves 6)
All-purpose Flour | 1 cup |
Whole Wheat Flour | 2 cups |
Water | For kneading |
Oil | 1 table spoon |
1. Sieve together flour and knead with water. |
2. Add the oil at the end and knead a little more to make the dough soft. |
Channa Daal | 2 cups |
Red Chilli Whole | 2 |
Cinnamon stick | ½ inch |
Black pepper whole | 4 to 5 |
Ginger (sliced) | ½ inch |
Garlic | 3 cloves |
Cardamom (crushed) | 2 |
Water | 1 cup |
Onion (chopped) | 1 medium |
Fresh Green Chilli (chopped) | 2 |
3. Bring the lentil to a boil and drain away the foam. Add the dry spices, ginger and garlic as well. |
4. Once the lentil is soft, let cool and grind it. |
5. Add the chopped onion and green chilli and fill in the dough and roll out into paratha. |
6. Shallow fry the paratha and serve with your choice of pickle. |
