Chickpeas (boiled & drained) | 3 cups |
Cumin Seed | ¼ teaspoon |
Onion (finely sliced in rings) | 1 medium |
Turmeric | ¼ teaspoon |
Red Chilli Powder | ½ teaspoon |
Salt | To taste |
Coriander Powder | ½ teaspoon |
Tomatoes (chopped) | 2 medium |
Garam Masala | ¼ teaspoon |
Chat Masala | ¼ teaspoon |
Fresh Coriander | For garnishing |
Fresh Green Chilli | For garnishing |
Oil | 3 tablespoon |
1. Warm the oil in a pressure cooker and fry the cumin seeds. |
2. Add onion and sauté these. |
3. Now add the turmeric, red chilli, salt and coriander powder. |
4. Add the tomatoes and stir well till the water dries out. |
5. Add the chick peas and stir well so all the spices get blended well on flame. |
6. Pour in 2 to 3 cups of warm water and bring to a boil. |
7. Put it on pressure and wait till 3 to 4 whistles. |
8. Garnish with coriander leaves and green chilli serve with rice or with pooris. |
