Doi Mach
Time of preparation: 50 Minutes
Time of cooking: 30 Minutes
Fish (back filets) | ½ kg |
Red Chilli Powder | ¼ teaspoon |
Turmeric | ¼ teaspoon |
Salt | ¼ teaspoon |
1. Rub the fish with the spices and marinate for about 2 hours. |
2. Fry the pieces until light brown and leave aside. |
Onion (thickly in length) | 2 |
Ginger Paste | 1 teaspoon |
Garlic Paste | 1 heaped teaspoon |
Red chilli Powder | ½ teaspoon |
Salt | To taste |
Cardamom pods (crushed) | 1 |
Cinnamon stick | 1 inch piece |
Black pepper Whole | 3 to 4 |
Yogurt | 1 cup |
Fresh Green Chilli (halved) | 1 or 2 |
3. Sauté the onion in a wok till golden brown. |
4. Add the other spices and ginger & garlic paste. |
5. Add the yogurt and stir well so it doesn’t curdle up. |
6. Pour in some water and let the gravy cook. |
7. Add the fried fish and let cook for another 5 to 10 minutes. |
8. Remove from heat and add the green chillies. |
