Coconut Slices
Time of preparation: 20 Minutes
Time of cooking: 30 Minutes
Flour | 1 cup |
Butter | ½ cup |
Vanilla essence | few drops |
Eggs | 1 |
Ground Sugar | ½ cup |
1. Sieve flour and rub the butter in it with your fingers. |
2. Add egg and kneed. |
3. Add other ingredients and kneed. |
4. Wrap the dough in wet muslin and refrigerate for 20 – 25 min |
5. Flatten the dough and cut out with biscuit cutter. |
6. Bake these for about 15 min at 150° – 200° C. |
Jam | as required |
Egg whites | 2 |
Sugar | ¼ cup |
Desiccated Coconut | 1 cup |
Coconut Essence | few drops |
Almonds chopped | ½ cup |
7. When the biscuits cool down layer the jam over it. |
8. Mix sugar and coconut powder in a saucepan. |
9. Cook for 1 min then add egg whites while stirring continually. |
10. When the mixture gets thick remove from flame and add essence. |
11. Layer with the coconut paste on the top to serve. |
