Karhai Chicken

Chicken (cut in small pieces) | 1 |
Oil | 4 tablespoons |
Garlic (sliced) | 4 cloves |
Ginger (sliced) | 1 thumb sized piece |
Ginger & garlic paste | 1 teaspoon |
Red Chilli Powder | ½ teaspoon |
Turmeric | ½ teaspoon |
Salt | To taste |
Garam Masala Powder | ¼ teaspoon |
Coriander Powder | ¼ teaspoon |
Carom Seeds (Ajwain) | ¼ teaspoon |
Tomatoes (chopped) | 2 to 3 |
Yogurt | 1 cup |
Fresh Green Chillies (Julian) | 2 |
Fresh Coriander | For garnishing |
1. Fry the chicken in oil with ginger & garlic paste. |
2. Then add ginger, garlic and all the ground spices in turns while stirring continuously. |
3. Also add ajwain and then the tomatoes and stir well. |
4. Once the water reduces and chicken is becoming tender add the yogurt and continue stirring. |
5. Just before removing from flame add green chillies, coriander and a pinch of garam masala. |
