Khichri sabit Masoor

Time of cooking: 30 Minutes
Sabit Masoor Daal | 1 cup |
Rice | 2 cups |
Water | 5 cups |
Ginger (grated) | 1 teaspoon |
Onion (chopped) | 1 tablespoon |
Garlic (sliced) | 1 or 2 cloves |
Dried Red Chillies | 2 |
Mustard Oil | 3 tablespoon |
1. Wash the lentils and rice together and drain off the water several times. |
2. Add green chillies, salt, few slices of onion, ginger & garlic and bring to a boil in water. |
3. Cover and simmer to cook for 20–25 minutes. |
4. Fry the red chillies in oil till crispy and mix well with onion and salt to mustard oil. |
5. Serve in a rice dish, garnished with coriender leaves. |
