Kota Gosht
Time of preparation: 4 to 6 Hours

Beef steaks | ½ kg |
Ginger paste | ½ teaspoon |
Garlic paste | ½ teaspoon |
Onion (sliced in rings) | 2 medium |
Yogurt | 1 cup |
Red chilli Powder | ¼ teaspoon |
Ground Black Pepper | ¼ teaspoon |
Garam Masala | ¼ teaspoon |
Salt | To taste |
Potatoes (thick slices in length) | 3 to 4 |
Oil/ Ghee | 5 tablespoon |
Fresh Green Chillies | 2 |
Fresh Coriander | For garnishing |
1. Pound the steaks well and marinate with ginger & garlic paste, yogurt, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt for about 4 to 8 hours. |
2. Fry the potatoes in a pan with oil, salt & red chilli powder to add colour. |
3. Now fry the onions and add the marinated beef. |
4. Once the meat is tender add the fried potatoes and let simmer. |
5. Add green chillies and coriander before removing from flame. |
