Marble Cake
Time of preparation: 45 Minutes
Time of cooking: 60 Minutes
Flour | 1 cup |
Baking Powder | 1 ½ tea spoon |
Eggs (separated) | 3 – 4 |
Ground Sugar | 1 cup |
Oil/ Butter | ¾ cup |
Cocoa Powder | 1 table spoon |
Vanilla essence | Few drops |
1. Sift together flour and baking powder. |
2. Hard beat the egg whites and place it in the freezer. |
3. Cream together sugar and butter/ oil and add egg yolks one by one. |
4. Now add the egg whites and beat together. |
5. Fold in the flour and essence. |
6. Pour half the batter in the baking pan. |
7. Add cocoa powder to rest half batter and mix well. |
8. Pour this batter over the plain batter & give one stir with the finger. |
9. Bake for 40 – 45 minutes at 150° – 200° C/ 300° – 400° F/ Gas mark 4 |
