Marmalade Cake
Time of preparation: 30 Minutes
Time of cooking: 60 Minutes
Flour | 1 cup |
Baking Powder | 1 ½ tea spoon |
Soda bi carbonate | ½ tea spoon |
Eggs | 4 |
Ground Sugar | 1 cup |
Oil/ Butter | 1 cup |
Orange marmalade | 5 – 6 table spoon |
Yellow food color | A pinch |
Vanilla/ orange essence | Few drops |
1. Sift together flour and baking powder. |
2. Beat together oil or butter and sugar. |
3. Add eggs one by one. |
4. Now add essence, marmalade and color. |
5. Fold in the flour at low speed |
6. Layer marmalade at the base of the baking dish and pour the batter over. |
7. Bake for an hour at 150° – 200° C/ 300° – 400° F/ Gas mark 4 |
