Mozzarella Stick Fries
Time of preparation: 30 Minutes
Time of cooking: 20 Minutes
Bread crumbs | 1 ½ cups |
Freshly Grated Parmesan | 1 cup |
Salt & Oregano | 1 tea spoon each |
Mozzarella (2 blocks; cut into 4 x ½ inch sticks) | 16 ounce |
Eggs (beaten) | 3 to 4 |
Oil | 1 ½ cups |
Mariana Sauce | 4 cups |
1. Stir the first 3 ingredients in a bowl. |
2. Dip the cheese blocks in beaten egg allowing the excess egg to drip away. |
3. Coat the bread crumbs over the cheese while patting to adhere completely. |
4. Place the all the coated sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for half an hour. |
5. Re coat for the second time and place in the freezer for another hour or two. |
6. Heat the oil on a frying pan and fry in batches over medium heat. |
7. Sprinkle some parmesan cheese and serve with Mariana sauce. |
