Mutton Paya
Time of preparation: 15 Minutes
Time of cooking: 5 to 6 Hours
Motton Paya | 6 pieces |
Onion Paste | 3 to 4 Table spoon |
Ginger Paste | 1 Table spoon |
Garlic Paste | 2 Table spoon |
Red Chilli Powder | ½ teaspoon |
Turmeric Powder | ¼ teaspoon |
Zeera and Dhaniya Powder | ½ teaspoon |
Garam Masala | ¼ teaspoon |
Salt | To Taste |
Green Chillies | 2 to 3 |
Fresh Coriander | For garnishing |
Ginger (Thinly sliced) | For garnishing |
Water | 7 to 8 cups |
1. Heat oil and fry the onion, ginger and garlic paste. |
2. Add the dry spices and stir continuously also pour in little water to avoid burning the spices. |
3. Add the cleaned mutton trotters and fry well. |
4. Pour in water and let the gravy cook for 5 to 6 hours. |
5. Garnish with fresh coriander, sliced ginger and green chillies. |
6. Serve with naan or sheermal. |
Tip:To make the paya thick add less water and similarly to make it light add more water. |
