Orange Cake
Time of preparation: 45 Minutes
Time of cooking: 60 Minutes
Flour | 1 cup |
Baking Powder | 2 tea spoon |
Eggs | 4 |
Ground Sugar | 1 cup |
Oil/ Butter | ¾ cup |
Custard Powder | 1 tea spoon |
Orange essence | Few drops |
Fresh Orange juice | 1 – 2 table spoon |
Orange rind (cooked in syrup) | To taste |
1. Sift flour and divide into 4 equal parts |
2. Cream together sugar and butter/ oil. |
3. Now add an egg and after that one portion of flour. |
4. Repeat the above process till the eggs and flour are finished. |
5. Now add custard powder, baking powder, essence, orange rind & then orange juice in respective order. |
6. Bake for 40 – 55 minutes at 150° – 200° C/ 300° – 400° F/ Gas mark 4 |
